Overview

Explore the magnificent Majorelle Gardens in Marrakech, created by Frenchman Jacques Majorelle in the 1930s and bought by Yves Saint Laurent fifty years later. The sumptuous Majorelle gardens were a source of inspiration for the designer. Majorelle is a tourist botanical garden of around 300 species on almost 1 hectare (10,000 m2), an Art Deco villa labeled Maisons des Illustres since 2011, and a museum of the History of the Berbers, in Marrakech, Morocco.

What To Expect

Jardin Majorelle
We will pick you up from your hotel / Riad in Marrakech and take you to discover the Majorelle garden. The Majorelle is a haven of peace in a city of chaos. A 2.5-acre paradise of exotic plants and fountains set in the heart of Marrakech. Designed by expatriate French artist Jacques Majorelle, the gardens were inspired by the Art Nouveau movement and reflect Majorelle’s love of flora and fauna. Marjorelle’s studio is now a vibrant museum, which has become known for its deep blue color aptly called “Majorelle Blue.” After being somewhat neglected following the painter's death, the gardens have since been restored to its former glory by Yves Saint-Laurent, whose ashes were scattered in the rose garden.
